The Eight Commandment:
You should not bear false witness against your neighbour!
If you attack a person and strike him so that he suffers wounds, and perhaps even rob him, then you know that you have harmed him and are subject to earthly punishment. You do not think that at the same time you have given yourself up to the threads of reciprocity, which are not subject to arbitrariness, but are justly triggered down to the smallest stirrings of the soul, which you do not respect at all, for which you have no perception at all. And this reciprocal action is in no way related to earthly punishment, but works quite independently of it, but so inescapably for the human spirit that it can no longer find a place in all Creation to protect and hide it.
When you hear of such a savage act of assault and violence, you are outraged. You are shocked and horrified by the suffering of those close to you! And yet you are little disturbed when you hear, here and there, that a person is cast in a bad light by cunning, malicious words in his absence, and often only by very expressive gestures, which say more than words can express.
But remember: A gross material attack is much easier to repair than an attack on the soul, which suffers from the undermining of reputation.
Therefore, avoid all waylayers of ill repute, as you would gross material murderers!
For they are just as guilty and very often even worse! As little pity as they have for the souls they themselves have hounded, so little shall a hand be offered to them for help in the afterlife when they plead for it! Cold and ruthless is the sinister urge within them to disparage others, people who are often strangers to them; cold and merciless will be the place that awaits them in a hundredfold strength as soon as they have to leave their earthly body!
They remain the outlaws in the afterlife and are themselves deeply despised, even by robbers and thieves; for a common, malicious and even more despicable train runs through the whole class, from the so-called coffee sister* to the depraved beings who, even under oath, are not afraid to bear false witness against a neighbour whom they would have had reason enough to thank for many things!
Treat them like poisonous vermin, for they do deserve no less.
Because the whole of humanity completely lacks the lofty, unified goal of entering the Kingdom of God, they have nothing to say to each other when they are together in twos or threes, and so they indulge in talks about others as a cherished custom, the wretchedness of which they are no longer able to see, because the concept of it has been permanently lost in the constant practice.
They shall continue to sit together in the afterlife and pay homage to their favourite topics, until the time granted for the last opportunity for ascent, which might have perhaps brought them salvation, has passed, and they are drawn into the eternal decomposition, wherein all gross and ethereal forms of matter are purified of whatsoever poison that human spirits carried into them, who are not worthy to keep a name!

A Light Teaching and Stories – From Master John

God’s Eighth Commandment, like all the Ten Commandments, is known to many people, but the problem is to understand it and apply it in your life, in the practical life of each moment.
Each commandment is meant to be applied and respected in the different situations and circumstances of life. In this way, you are acting according to God's Will, for your well-being and spiritual evolution. But how many people understand them and apply them in their lives?
When some people find themselves in an embarrassing situation and have to answer or account for something, they panic and their first thought is to defend themselves by any means necessary, even by consciously lying without thinking of the consequences of the lie in their lives.
They will say anything, even insinuating and falsely naming other people who have nothing to do with what is being asked of them, just to exonerate themselves. A person who acts in this way by misusing other people’s names is not aware of the consequences of this abusive way of lying in their life.
There is also the category of people who only live under the names of other people who are more famous or have a certain social position in society and whom they know. They use their names when they want to get out of an embarrassing situation or when they want to gain some kind of advantage. They use these people’s names to get out of any situation. And they do it without the knowledge of the people whose names they are abusing. It's abuse with all its consequences.
Many people commit various frauds by pretending to be someone they are not in order to gain some advantage or benefit.
All these people, who have become experts in these many cases of abuse, don’t care about the consequences of their bad deeds in their lives. They don’t even fear prison. All they care about is getting what they want at any price and by any means. These are the people that the Light considers to be sick.
A sick person is not only and necessarily someone who has physical pain or who complains about them. The Light considers as sick anyone who behaves badly and does things that are not right or normal. These people have this knowledge, these teachings that explain the consequences of what they do, but they do it anyway without a second thought. Some only wake up and realize the evil they have done when they are punished or find themselves in jail. But often they do it again as soon as they get out of jail.
The Lord always told the servants and people around Him on the Mountain to be honest people. He did not want people go ing to different places and saying things in the Name of the Lord. He even advised the servants to be careful when they went to places to speak in the name of the Grail Message. God’s servants on mission have the Force of the Light and the mission to go all over the world to bring people the Grail Message. They have been empowered by God to do this work.
The Lord forbade people who didn’t fully understand the Grail Message to defend the teaching because they might make mistakes that could have consequences for themselves. Before defending anything, one must be well informed, but one cannot go to people with something one doesn’t fully understand.
The Message is addressed to the individual, who must first try to understand it fully and live the teachings given in the Grail Message before passing them on to others.
You yourself do not yet understand or have mastered the Grail Message yourself, but for reasons of pride, to show off, to show people that you are a follower of the Grail Message, you want to talk, to explain the Message to other people.
The people who follow you will believe that the explanations you give them of the Message are the Grail Message, and yet what you say is not true, is not convincing, and those who listen to you realize this, they have doubts, they are not convinced and they lose interest in this Message because of you.
You have recognized and accepted that the Grail Message is the Truth, and instead of first trying to study it in depth yourself to understand and master it, you rush to present it to others with the sole aim of showing off, of boasting to others, of proving to them that you are intelligent and that they appreciate you.
And in order to maintain the image of someone who is very intelligent and who knows the Grail Message, you begin to say everything in the name of the Grail Message, even though you know very well that what you’re saying is not true, does not come from the Grail Message. You defend yourself to protect your image, you abuse the name of the Grail Message so that people will continue to appreciate you and see you as a spiritually elevated person who has mastered the Grail Message.
Some of these people who call themselves Followers of the Grail Message, which they want to present and explain to people, may have some knowledge of the teachings of the Grail Message, but they do not put them into practice in their lives, people find some of them in occult places and they claim to be Followers of the Grail Message. In so doing they misuse the name of the Grail Message. They hide behind the name of the Grail Message in order to draw people’s attention to themselves.
Many agents of darkness like to pass themselves off as spiritual figures. They are often found in churches, temples and other Christian gatherings. They especially like to talk about spiritual teachings when they are not acting according to the teachings of the spiritual Word. They will even ask for money in the name of the person in charge, the pastor or the spiritual leader, but in reality they are looking for that money for themselves.
Oh, the scandals among servants on mission and those who claim to be servants of God, some of whom are in prison for all kinds of crimes that they have committed in the name of others. They thought they were manipulating people by appearing and addressing them in the name of another influential person who was unaware of the misuse of their name by these people to get what they needed.
These servants abuse the trust of people who thought they were acting because of the name of the person introduced to them. They abuse the name of the person they have willingly used to satisfy their needs. They have wronged people who trusted them. Some of these people may be close to the servant. They will be hurt by what the servant has done in their name.
The Lord rebuked servants who did not respect what He told them, especially those who did not respect His Word, which was a breach of trust.
He had seen many cases of abuse of trust of all kinds by those who wanted to get something. He was very humble and loving, but when it came to abuse, He rebuked the servants.
An Account With the Lord
The Lord went to the Mountain to rest after a long absence. The next day, which was a Wednesday, He went in the morning to a building site which He had left under the supervision of his cousin ANDREAN. It was the Lord’s custom to see what was going on at the Mountain. When He arrived at the site, He saw no movement, no activity and none of the workers who should have been there, were working. It was dead quiet. He approached the site a little closer and found only one person, the site watchman.
He asked the watchman where the workers were and the watchman told the Lord that Andrean had a problem with his wife who was very ill. He had told the workers that he was leaving to look after his wife, that he couldn’t leave his responsibility to anyone else because the Lord trusted only him. The watchman gave the Lord the names of all these people.
The Lord did not agree with what the watchman had told Him about Andrean.
On the way home, His Guide told him that Andrean had a new young wife who wanted so much money that Andrean had spent all the money he had for the building site on her. He knew he couldn’t lie to the workers, so he hid at his sister’s house in the village so they wouldn’t find him. He even ran away from his wife and children.
The Lord went to ask all the people Andrean had told that he was going to look after his sick wife, but none of them could admit to having spoken to Andrean since they had been working on the building site. Andrean always said that he was very busy.
And because the site was somewhat isolated, the workers didn’t often go to see if they could get back to work. All the people Andrean had named as witnesses were disappointed to have to leave the site.
The Lord was disappointed in His cousin, in whom He had trusted. Andrean had betrayed His trust.
The consequences of Andrea’s abuse meant that work on the site took longer than expected due to a lack of funds to complete it.
How it went with Andrea:
One day, a rich man, a friend of the Lord, received a message in a dream asking him to help the Lord finish the work that Andrean was overseeing on the Mountain. The man brought the Lord exactly the sum of money He needed to finish the work. The Lord prayed and thanked the man.
After the man left, the Lord called Andrean into His office. He trusted him, as a qualified engineer, to continue and complete the work. He gave him the exact amount that the rich man had given to complete the work.
It was at this point that the Evil One approached Andrean, who gave in to his temptations and spent all his money on an attractive young prostitute.
The Lord was really hurt by Andrean's betrayal, especially since Andréan was his cousin and He had trusted him with this important task.
The Lord wondered what He would say to this good Frenchman who had left France to come and give him an envelope of money for a specific purpose, to finish a building site. Andrean had been seduced by a prostitute, on whom he had spent the money to please her.
Almost everyone who lived on the Mountain was aware of Andrean’s problem. Andrean was the Lord’s cousin and people spoke of the problem in hushed tones. Andrean had falsely cited the names of workers who knew nothing of the problem as witnesses to the fact that he had abandoned the site, with all the consequences that this entailed.
He hurt the Lord who had trusted him. He betrayed the trust of this Frenchman who had come to the Mountain to hand over the money to finish building the site. It was a terrible abuse on the part of Andréan, a calm and serious man, but who had been seduced by the Evil One.
After a period of inactivity, the site was completely closed.
One day, a wealthy woman who traded in gold came to the Mountain to see the Lord. She was in the habit of visiting the Mountain, and it was then that she saw the building site, which had a beautiful plan, but which had not been completed. The businesswoman went to ask the Lord why the building site had stopped, and the Lord replied, with difficulty and regret, that it was because of a lack of funds. The woman did not hesitate for a moment; she undertook to finance the project so that it could be completed. The Lord thanked her. The work continued until the site was completed.
There are certain problems that people have when they know the name of the person who has given false testimony against them and who is causing them a great deal of harm. The damage hurts them so much that they cannot sit still – they have worries, concerns that may affect their health, and a lack of sleep. All the more so because their reputation has been damaged. Everything can pile up on the person and their soul suffers. Worry and anxiety can lead to illness. In the case of fraud, there will be worries about repaying the money.
The consequences of breaking and abusing the Eight Commandment can cause many problems and affect one’s soul in many ways. Worry can drive a person crazy, especially when it affects the soul. Think about what you are doing to avoid making the mistakes, abusing your trust, etc. that you have made.

* The ability to think creatively and to understand concepts depend on our awareness factor termed the subconscious mind. It is in the subconscious mind that all our mental processes take place – without consciousness. Every thought we generate immediately takes on a form that embodies the expression that gives meaning of the thought in the subconscious mind. As we conceive a thought, the subconscious mind accepts, affirms, and advances with certainty the suggestion it receives whether the reciprocation is good or bad. As the edifice of order, judgement and reciprocity, therefore, the subconscious mind is responsible for the internal programming that forms our beliefs, memories of experience, judgments and habits; in other words, it forms our mindset.
